This is really spectacular, crazy details! That choice of fabric for the sleeveless collared shirt is great, considering the chain-mail from the game model would have been pretty impossible, I imagine. And A+ fluffy fluffs! I love the sake bowl and Yumekichi props, too.
It's not quite velvet; the sleeve is a red chenille with a similar nap quality to velvet. The fur is all synthetic, though it's very nice quality. Do you mean the scale armor on the vest (which is vinyl), or on the thighs (which is hard leather)?
Awesome cosplay! Question: how do you keep the wig on your head without it falling back? I'm having trouble with a ponytail wig and it doesn't want to stay on my head because the weight of the ponytail pulls it back. I use a wig cap and bunch of bobby pins and all and I still have problems. Please give this beginner cosplayer advice!
Thanks! When it comes to heavy wigs, I've found that hand-sewing a comb in the front of the wig is the most effective way to keep it from sliding backward. You can get hair combs from beauty stores or the beauty section of drug stores, and then once it's sewn on you can slip it under your wig cap to grab onto your natural hair. I hope that helps!!
