My Ciel Phantomhive cosplay from the manga/anime Kuroshitsuji (Black Butler), debuted at the Cherry Blossom Festival 2009 in San Francisco, and worn again at FanimeCon 2009 and Sac-Anime Summer 2009.
This cosplay is fully made by me, except for minor accessories (garters, gloves, cane, and black shoes). The shirt, vest, jacket, shorts, back drapery, and boot spats are made of blue embossed moleskin, navy blue and black satins, black velvet, and white lipped cording. The jacket and vest are both fully lined, the drape is double-sided, and the frock shirt is pintucked with hand-pleated ruffles. This cosplay also consumed 140 yards of yellow satin ribbon, which had to be sewn individually to the satin. The hat is made from scratch of felt interfacing without a pattern, and I refinished the cane with an ebony stain and re-varnished it. Photo by WinterWish, Sac-Anime August 2009.
